ClerkFees is a service operated by Harper AI, Inc., a Delaware corporation (“ClerkFees,” “we,” “us”). By using this site you agree to these terms. ClerkFees compiles and publishes court filing fees, small-claims limits, and filing logistics for United States county courts, with each figure cited to the issuing court and dated with our last verification.
What this service is, and is not
ClerkFees is an information service. It is not legal advice, and nothing on this site creates an attorney–client or other professional relationship between you and us. We are not a law firm and we are not affiliated with any court, clerk’s office, or government agency. The fees we display are compiled from published official sources and carry the date we last verified each source. Fee schedules change. The operative fee is the one the court charges; always confirm against the issuing court’s own schedule before you act, particularly before advancing fees or filing near a deadline.
Your account
You sign in with a magic link sent to your email address. You are responsible for the security of that inbox and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information; we may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse the service, or create risk for us or other users.
No FCRA-covered use
ClerkFees (Harper AI, Inc.) is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. The service publishes court fee schedules and filing logistics, which are facts about courts, not about people. You may not use this site or its data as a factor in establishing any person’s eligibility for employment, tenancy, credit, insurance, or a government license or benefit, and you may not describe or market anything built on it as a background-check or screening product.
Acceptable use
- No scraping, reverse engineering, or bulk extraction of the site or its data outside the export features included in your plan.
- No reselling or redistributing our compiled data without a written agreement (see the data license section below).
- No unlawful use, spam, or harassment using anything from this site.
- No interfering with the service, probing for vulnerabilities, or circumventing rate limits.
Your license to exported data
Paid plans include CSV export of the fee data we maintain. Exports are licensed for your organization’s internal business use: rate sheets, route folders, billing systems, and client work product. You may not republish, resell, sublicense, or redistribute the compiled dataset or any substantial portion of it as a standalone data product, whether or not modified, without a written agreement with us. Individual figures with attribution are fine; our compilation is not.
Payments
Prices are shown before you buy. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your card details. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You can cancel any time from your account’s billing portal, effective at the end of the paid period. See our Refund Policy.
Accuracy, corrections, and no pay-to-remove
We publish fee data with its source and verification date so you can check our work in one click. If you believe a figure is wrong, use the report link on the fee row; we verify reports against the issuing source within 2 business days, and confirmed corrections appear in our public change log. We never charge a fee to remove, correct, or modify anything we publish.
Disclaimer of warranties
The site and its data are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose. Fee schedules change on the issuing courts’ timetables, and a published verification date is a statement about when we last checked, not a guarantee that nothing has moved since.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ClerkFees (Harper AI, Inc.) is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or reliance on, the site or its data, including rejected filings, missed deadlines, or fees advanced in incorrect amounts. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or $100 if you paid nothing. Your sole additional remedy is to stop using the site.
Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. We may update these terms; the effective date above signals versions, and continued use after a change is acceptance. Questions: legal@clerkfees.com.
